What he's done

Bruce is a senior I.T. professional, who has been instrumental in bringing about substantial technological advancements within three major international corporations.

He is widely recognised for his ability to successfully communicate both commercial and technical issues at all levels of an international organisation. This has enabled him to command considerable influence within any business. He retains, however, an approachable, open style, which encourages consultation, inspires confidence and promotes good working relationships.

His achievements within the UK subsidiary of Continental Tyres, a major German corporation, have included departmental mergers, on-line systems, PC and Microsoft Windows introduction, system integration, outsourcing, office moves and building recabling projects and the creation of a higher perception of I.T. as a major contributor to business success.

Following the outsourcing of Continental’s I.T. services to IBM, he moved from the day to day role of I.T. Management to the more challenging area of designing outsourcing solutions.

He then progressed to a highly successful role in training, specialising on a costing application internally developed and used by IBM. His role encompassed the creation of education courses, the scripting and production of the appropriate training material, the training of other trainers and the delivery of the training classes themselves. He also led the European rollout of the revised and re-platformed application in 2010.

Early in 2012 he added the role of Focal Point for UK and Ireland to his training mandate. This added formal support and guidance to the requirements of his position and confirmed his position as the top expert for the application within the UK, as well as one of the most knowledgeable in the world. Every element of this critical IBM role has been in local, European and Global arenas.

In 2014 he created Think!Bruce and contracted to help CSC (later to become DXC) design and build their own costing and pricing application, to replace an antiquated Excel solution. The new solution is browser based with the data storage on Microsoft’s Cloud and is fully international and multi-user in all aspects.

In 2017 following the successful completion of the Costing part of DXC’s application he moved to work as a Senior Business Analyst with SoftServe Inc, the Ukrainian based organisation who had done the programming for DXC’s application.

In 2019, alongside his project work with Softserve, he took on the role of European Sales Consultant with Realogic Works. The first project was to find suitable sales channels within Europe (initially UK) for an established American software application that automates infrastructure compliance to a range of given industry standards, as well as the ability to define a custom set of rules and ensure that a company complies with them.
